A big thank you to all of you who are still following, given my inconsistent posting these past few months. Sometimes you get in a rut and just need a break. My break consisted of a mixture of the holidays and thinking about what I wanted to do and where I wanted to take the blog. I am happy to announce that I am slowly regaining my inspiration and passion and share it with all of you. And a special thanks to my good friend and photographer, Buffett Photography. She has given me that sparkle that I needed to get things moving in the right direction, starting with one of my favorite subjects, sweaters and the color grey.
I have been obsessed with this color (or shade for you art people), for my entire life. Even my eyes are “Grey” on my driver’s license! I am obsessed. So naturally, I wear it whenever I get a chance. After going through a major closet purge last month, I realized just how much grey items I own. While I gave away some (like one thing), I kept the rest. It is the one color that matches everything and I know I will always grab for it when in a pinch. That, and the color black (duh).
While I wasn’t able to round of 50 shades of grey sweaters for you to shop, I did narrow it down to some that are in my shopping bag right now. Finding your signature color is so important. It’s something that you are able to use to express yourself when you get dressed and gives you the confidence you need to rock what you got.
The newest addition to my closet was this Madewell sweater. It is so soft and buttery. The slightly cropped and wrap look makes it look a little more Parisian chic. I’ll be wearing it to my upcoming happy hours and transition to spring/summer attire with some denim shorts. I like my clothing to be simple, timeless and chic. I think my grey sweaters fit that bill and always will.
Happy Friday.
